Why it is Difficult to Write.

Writing is difficult and you all liberated readers of the Nicks letters know it.

I like looking at writing as a skill, just like dancing or knitting or playing a musical instrument.

The world of today, as you might know it, is full of people without skills. And out of the many skills out there, I am biased towards the idea that writing is by far the most difficult and most underrated skill. And so this means that you will rarely meet skilled writers if you go out on streets and start asking.

I have been steady in the practice of writing for over 10 years now. And transcended to the part of getting people to pay me for this skill. I am talking about people in the fields of marketing, wellness and biz owners. I have built relationships with these people and it is a realistic expectation that they will keep giving me their money and even more people are going to be doing that. And the best thing is that I feel like I am just getting started. And so, I feel like I am one of the few people to discuss why it is difficult to write.

Now the following are 5 reasons why writing is difficult.

Writing is like thinking.

Popular American radio host from the 1960s and 70s by the name Earl Nightingale used to teach this about people: people simply do not think. And that when related to writing, people simply can't write. So why is this so? The next point explains why.

People think writing is for scholars.

It is true that writing is the foundation of learning. That is why you see schools and university students taking notes in written form. But what happens when people finish school? You know it. Many will never touch pen and paper again. Why? Because they are done with school life. It is like the reason why they write is because of school alone. And we we know that this is a terrible way of looking at things…

People have empty minds.

We have seen in point number one that writing is thinking. What this means is that writing originates from the mind. Since many people do nothing or are less concerned about filling their minds, there is nothing to write about in the minds of the average person.

All that most people put in their minds are pop music, memes and tiktok dance videos.

The governments of the world do not want you to write.

You see what? Writing is the foundation of learning. It is also how most classical knowledge is transferred from one generation to the next. But the people who have decided to own the world do not want people to become knowledgeable and smart. So all they care about is keeping you tense and in constant need of watching news and not calming your thoughts through the powerful act of writing. There is not enough emphasis put on people to write and transfer generational knowledge so that they can remain dumb and stupid.

Writing has been replaced with AI.

The past 3 or 4 years have seen the explosion of a technology called AI. AI is artificial intelligence and these days anything that requires writing has been left to things like ChatGPT and Grok. These days, chatgpt can even copy your voice writing for you. Many people have entrusted not just their writing but also their thinking to AI. This Ai trust has left many peoples' minds rotting and shrinking making it even hard to type and write by hand.

Writing is difficult yet liberating. This is because it is the way we learn to think, to read our own thoughts and even influence  our actions.

Writing is the foundation of learning and  a good mental exercise too!
