I say this because strength in body is the natural state of humans. Nobody was born to walk around with bad posture and a weak body. I believe becoming stronger is the foundation of holistic fitness.

6 key ideas to remember at the start of your strength training journey.
Avoid beginner mistakes and supercharge you journey by taking these tips from someone who learned the hard way.
1.Decide on the type of equipment you want to use.
There are many types of equipment for you to choose. You can join a gym or you can buy equipment and use at home. The best type of equipment is your body. Yes, you can do exercise like squats and push ups anywhere. Please remember this does not have to be a permanent decision. You can always mix and equipment and your onw bodyweight.
Once you have made up your mind proceed with your journey.
2.Seek help from someone ahead of you.
Hiring a coach is the best way to begin. But this does not mean you need to drop a big budget on trainers and coaches. Yes they will and can help a long way. But do not let the lack money stop you from finding help. There are a lot of free resources on the internet.
YouTube for example is free! Choose and follow the teachings of one person.
Let them be your guide. Emulate them and execute as they say. You will get ground and eventually be able to do it on your own.
3.Fix your diet.
Whether you like it or not, what you eat is crucial in your fitness. That is why you need a lot of natural food. There is a wide debate about the kinds of food you need to drop. The truth is that people are different and not everything is bad. But eating nutritious and natural food is the best long term solution. You could still enjoy your favorite snacks like cookies and cakes and still get amazing results. Most people think they need to become the perfect saint when all you need is common sense and balance.
Be ready to eat natural foods as you beginning training because your body will require them and make you feel your best.
4.Train slowly connecting your mind to the exercise.
Many people make the mistake of training fast with momentum. When doing a particular exercise, focus on the technique and form. Feel the power in your muscle with every repetition. When you do this, you activate more muscle fibres. This is going to make you rea more gains from the exercise.
5.Take a rest.
As you workout through lifting heavy weights for example, you become fatigued. That is why you need at least 48 hours before doing another session. During the rest days, be sure to sleep and stay mindful of food and avoiding stress.
Do not overtrain! It is a surprise that you do not even need more that 2 training sessions in a week.
6.Make a plan.
This is so cliche. Yet planning is key in anything in life. As you start your strength training, you must have an outcome in mind. What is it that you want to achieve after a period of time? The plan can be as short as 3 months and as long as 10 years or forever!
A good workout plan must have around 6 to 9 exercises. These exercises can be done on the same day. And the repeated over and over. Remain disciplined until you hit your goal.
Conclusion.
Strength training can be hard and intimidating as you start. This is because training is a skill. With that in mind, you can get better at this skill with time, especially if you use the tips I have given you.
