Self-work. The Medicine For World Wide Trauma And Oppression.
What you need to do to improve your self awareness immediately.
The most powerful way of healing and helping to heal the burning soul of the world and experience true life enjoyment is by doing what we call self-work.

Now you are going to ask yourself what is self-work.
As the words go, self-work is really self-explanatory. It is getting off the mass train and returning all focus to yourself. Self-work is accepting that even though there is a lot wrong with the world, everything falls back on you. Because truly, maybe you are the problem. In short, self-work is deciding to become a responsible person, rejecting the BS of the world, and designing your own lifestyle.
Anyway. I am returning from a brisk walk outside. I sat at a place and put my bare feet on the ground while staying in a squat stance. If you don’t know what a squat is, imagine you are squatting and then you stay in the lower position as if pooping. That is what a squat stance is. Now. This simple exercise of staying in a squat stance is helpful to you. It helps stretch your spine and back muscles. Makes you feel good by returning your spine to normal after long hours of sitting or sleeping. And what about putting your feet on the ground? This one is called grounding. Expert research has revealed that getting in contact with the earth by standing or walking bare feet improves sleep, reduces pain and stress, and is good for your nervous system. I won’t tell you much but I want to urge you to get some time daily if possible to contact yourself with the earth. And to sit in a squat stance. Your holistic wellness will certainly improve. No doubts my friend, go try.
Ok. Now. I was having a book for breakfast this morning. The book is called Leadership and Self-deception-Getting out of the box. It is a book I bought on impulse while walking around the city over the weekend in the company of my friend Addman. The book caught my attention from the go because leadership is something I had been wanting to read more about and understand given the stage I am at in my career. And the main lesson from the book is so interesting. Here we are taught how self-deception causes personal and organizational problems. Why? Because many people are out of touch with reality. I mean, isn’t that what self-deception means? Lying to yourself that you know something yet what you think you know is not what is really true. This book is going to be important for us because as you know, my newsletter is about helping you raise your awareness by leaning more into yourself and reality. I want to help you get outside the ‘box’ and elevate your thinking. My newsletter is about helping you raise your consciousness. Because if you raise your consciousness, my friend, you are not only helping yourself but also your family, your friends, and the whole world entirely. You are healing yourself from the worldwide darkness and playing your part in healing the burning soul of the world.
Anyway, my good book aside…
Imagine today if you had all that you ever wished for.
Let us say that you wish to learn how to write and make a living out of it. How could you feel receiving international checks every month doing what you love? And do you know what is holding us from achieving that? It is the lack of self-work. It is our inability to cut out the world's distractions, lies, and misinformation and focus on the betterment of ourselves.
You see, the message of consciousness and self-work is something many people rarely love or even come in contact with by the way. Because we are living in times where there are a lot of lies being thrown around in mainstream media about what happiness, self-improvement, and life enjoyment are. And so the average person is okay with all that misinformation and chaos. What am I saying? I am saying that people are not interested in self-work and raising their consciousness. They would rather stay in their comfort zone than step up and begin the amazing and life-changing journey of self-work. And all these are burning the world's soul.
Anway…
What are some of the things you can begin doing in order to raise your consciousness? In other words, what am I doing to raise my consciousness?
Ok first. I like to take time every day and reflect on anything in my life. It occurs that many people in the world are just pathetic when it comes to reflection. They think that reflection is for overthinkers and mentally broken people.
But that is not true…
What reflections really help me is returning me to the present and reminding me that I am on a journey of self-improvement. And I don’t have to let irrelevant things sway me no matter what. Now what do I reflect about? According to Eastern philosophy, you need to reflect and inquire about three things that I am going to tell you now.
Sit somewhere quiet and ask yourself.
What am I feeling?
What am I thinking?
What am I doing?
Further insights from Eastern philosophy reveal that your conscious body is made up of three faculties. Thinking, feeling, and doing. Once you start working on these, it is eminent that you are going light up your consciousness. You are going to open your third eye. Because seriously my friend, how many people you know normally do that? People are never mindful of anything going on in their own life and around them. People are only acting out and reacting to events without questioning their own well-being. It's a fact that people are going through life with nearly zero intention. Set yourself apart by reflecting. And this is going to raise your awareness and put you ahead of many people, immediately.
The second thing I am doing to improve my consciousness is called the daily backward review. How do you do the backward review? To do the backward review, every night when you go to bed, start thinking about your day in reverse order. Begin right from the moment you entered bed right back to the moment you woke up in the morning. Again, Eastern philosophy supports that the backward review is going to strengthen your mind muscles in ways never known to many. Because many people are used to thinking and reviewing their days in forward order. So you go against the norm and think in reverse order. On top of that, many people never even review their days, leave alone backward. And this is good news for us my friend.
Please remember this. Those two exercises are not as easy as they sound. I also struggled in the beginning, and when I go for days without doing them, I find it hard to start again. They are actually so hard that in the beginning you will find yourself stuck and bored a lot of times. But just practice and keep doing them every day even if you fall asleep midway.
So how does self-work heal the world?
The big picture about self-work is taking part in the work that improves you on a personal level. Like the way I am doing by writing these letters. Because to me, writing is like my getaway drug for self-improvement. Writing is my hope. It is my shot at helping humans raise their consciousness and play my part in healing the destitute of the world. I know, I believe, and crowd evidence shows that writing is a tool for personal development and transformation. Writing is a powerful tool to heal your mind because you see your mental state in what you write. So it all starts with your mind. Because self-work begins with how you see the world. That means you need to begin by working and educating your mind towards good and virtue. You need to start reading good books to expose yourself to the knowledge that has been hidden from you for ages. A book like the power of Awareness by Neville Goddard is a really good one. I highly recommend it. You are going to engage in daily reflections to remind yourself to stay in the present moment. You are going to do self-therapy like sitting alone every day quietly. You need to spend some time sitting alone quite every day. Because guess what? It is your personal responsibility to illuminate your consciousness and open your third eye. Nobody is going to do it for you. You see, we are all connected to the one big mind of the world, otherwise in psychological terms knowns as the collective consciousness. So look at yourself as a member of this collective consciousness. And the more you contribute and help someone else contribute, the more we are working towards human betterment, enlightenment, and liberation. And you see that? That is the medicine to worldwide trauma and oppression.
How do you contribute to the collective consciousness? By starting your own self-work and playing your personal part of illuminating your thinking process through the practices discussed in this letter. And then helping at least one other person do the same. And let me not lie to you. Self-work is not easy. It is damn hard. And it is damn dangerous to the systems that have been put in place to manipulate and stunt the mental growth of people. It is risky because they are not gonna like it. But you don’t have to fear. So I tell you, my friend, it’s possible. We can do it one by one, step by step. Starting with yourself.
Let me now wind down today’s letter.
My father figure who is my uncle just passed on yesterday after battling bad health while on medications. My eyes welled with tears and my spirit shook when I received the news from my mother. Like, my man was still young and I never thought he’s be leaving that soon. But he did! And now he’s gone. One lesson I am taking from his sudden death is that the healthcare system is broken. And of course, it helps to come to terms with death and take back your health into your hands. Because if you rely on modern medicine and the healthcare system to stay on top of your health, you are certainly setting up yourself for medical complications… whether you like it or not. So the best way to take back your health into your hands is to practice healthy living by eating natural foods and exercising and resting. Can you imagine how simple it is to stay healthy and live longer? Can you see it? Anyway, I know many may not agree with this idea. But over and over again, evidence proves that the mainstream medical and healthcare system is broken, rigged, and not good for your health. That is why on a personal note, I stopped using over-the-counter meds and instead, these days I embrace Eastern medicine. Also known as Ayurvedic medicine. I have several herbal supplements that I am using and one of my fav is called Black seed oil or nigella sativa. Go check it out to discover the benefits and healing powers it carries.
In the next letter my friend, we are going to return back to writing. And that is how you can teach yourself to write and set up yourself for a life of freedom and enjoyment doing what you love. Because trust me, writing is an underrated skill. It is the skill of the future. Writing is like therapy. Hard in the beginning but gets easier and enjoyable and rewarding as you progress. Tell a friend.
Yours honest.
Osale.
