The Foundation Skill For Millionaire Marketing.

It’s a lovely Monday in October.

I am sitting shirtless at my desk while writing this.

The weather these days has turned to cool breeze, wind, and hot sunshine over here in Kiambu County, Kenya.

It’s T-shirts and shorts season my friend.

Anyway. Let us begin.

Today I am going to share with you an idea from my personal journal.

On the evening of 30th July 2023, I wrote this in my journal.

You can become a millionaire by writing.

What followed was a train of thoughts from my head to the paper as I winded down my day before going to bed. I am going to use those ideas to write the rest of this letter.

I know it may be hard for you to imagine earning millions from writing.

It's crazy that I haven’t made millions myself by writing, yet I am telling you it is possible.

Yes. It is possible. It is happening.

And you are going to witness that while you are still on my list because you are special and who knows, you may even become a millionaire writer and marketer yourself too.

Now. Many people who are looking to start with internet marketing always get confused about what and where to start.

And I’ll tell you a secret.

Writing is the place to be.

This is because writing is a big business. Writing is the most crucial thing in marketing. Writing is the best way to observe and document human behavior. And once you get good at understanding humans, you become a great marketer. The best marketers know that marketing is not a game of strategies and tactics. It is a game of consumer(consumers are humans) behavior.

Beginner marketers think they can do SEO, build websites, design graphics, post reels, or even start an agency and sell social media management services. And run it up to millions. That is so ambitious. Wow!

Anyway, I used to think like that too.

But today it’s different.

It now turns out that the best way to make a lot of money as a marketer is to teach yourself how to write.

And then start by writing for yourself.

Of course, I am not saying that you are not going to write for others. I am saying that before you write for others, you are going to write for yourself.

I call this personal writing.

What is personal writing?

Doesn’t matter the dictionary definition but here it is; Writing to draw people’s attention to you.

If you draw people’s attention to yourself, you are eventually going to have interested people who want to work with you. This is because the people looking for writers are drawn to expertise and experience.

For example;

• You are not going to get hired as an email writer if you don’t have an email newsletter yourself.

• You are not going to get hired as a blog writer if you don’t have a blog yourself.

• You are not going to get hired as a copywriter if you don’t write copy yourself.

The good thing about writing opportunities is that you can start your journey towards millionaire writing wherever you are. Even if you are not a great and experienced writer.

I once told you about my disinterest in looking for my own marketing gigs outside my day job at a local marketing and PR agency.

But I have decided to take it to another level. I won’t tell you here.
