The fear of self-improvement. The fear of working on oneself

Happy Monday fam.

I was at the gym last week with my partner Lisili.

As we walked into the changing room, we met one of the trainers at the gym. He was helping a woman who was lying on a mat training her core.

We stopped for a chat with the trainer.
This guy was telling us about another gym member who had disappeared out of the gym and out of the hood.

“Nick, where did [name hidden] go?”

I said he moved out of Ruaka.

Then he continued…

“[name hidden] was showing me some big money cheque that was pending to be approved. The cheque was so big in the hundreds of millions. I assumed that he would gift me at least 200 thousand if the cheque went through. But when I called him after a few days, he said that the directorate of criminal investigations was hunting him. From there I felt that he was playing with me. That boy has a lot of money but he is tricky…and Nick, did [name hidden] sell the VW?”

I was still so light from my lifting that I did not want to engage in such gossip. I sat while looking at the lady planking on the floor.

My mind had first gone like; Oh [name hidden] had a VW? I never knew about it. I did not answer.

Now listen, the gym trainer has been causing trouble in our gym management. One day Lisili Imbova and I wanted to have an early morning session. And when Lisili arrived, the gym was still closed at 7 am. I have since learned that this gym trainer drinks too much and forgets to open the gym on time.

And it was not just opening the gym.

The trainer was commonly known for reaching his penis to every woman that stepped into the gym. And when a client paid, he sometimes would redirect the money to his phone number instead of that of the gym. Precisely why I thought a part of this would be a good story to use today.

The part of the story? A gym trainer thinks that someone is going to hand them a clean 200k just because he is someone they know.

This makes me want to investigate.

What makes people think that other people can hand them easy money like that? I mean, I am not saying it is bad or even impossible. I am commenting on it. And I have concluded that there is something in people. There is something that makes people think that earning money can be that easy. Yet facts are against this conclusion.

After months of study, I have noticed a character flow in many people. And myself included. I have discovered that many people are living in fear.

What fear? You may wonder.

The fear of self-improvement. The fear of working on oneself.

People dread the act of working on themselves and for themselves so that they can take themselves to a better place. It is for this reason we have people living in frustration and poverty. It is for this reason many people are broke!

The way known to me and many others when it comes to earning money is stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something hard. Something like offering a service to a group of people or selling something. It is just that way. It is just that simple, yet many people are still going to avoid it.

Of course, you can rob or beg. Or wait for a good samaritan to change your life. But working it yourself and selling a good or a service or ethically placing yourself in the money cycle is the best and surest way to get sexy money.

And so it begs the question. How can I learn to work on myself and make money my way?

Well, first you need to understand that fear is a character problem among many people. You need to understand that fear is working in your life while you are unaware. So you need to overcome that fear of self-development to elevate holistically.

Take our gym trainer for example. He needs to improve his skill and get more customers instead of getting more vaginas. He needs to see women as people who can give him money to get help. Not merely sex objects. And most importantly, he needs to rely on himself instead of waiting for [name hidden] to change his financial situation.

This story-rich article on my blog talks in detail about how fear works in your life. Head over to read.
